OCP organized the 7th edition of the Al Moutmir  Open Innovation Lab on the  21st January  to share with the agricultural ecosystem the results of « the Al Moutmir olive demonstration platform program » for the 2019/2020 agricultural campaign.

More than 60 participants took part in this meeting: scientists,experts, interprofessional, cooperatives, associations and farmers. 
Several topics were discussed : Mr. Mohamed El Baraka, President of the National Federation of Olive Oil Morocco, presented the olive sector in Morocco, its achievements and prospects for development. Mr. Larbi Ajmi of APNI shed the light on the intensive olive cultivation in North Africa. Mr. Zaid Guirrou, Al Moutmir expert, emphasized the importance of fertilization and the rationalization of this operation in olive cultivation. In addition, Mr. Bensegua Redouane of ONSSA treated presented presented the integrated protection in olive fields and its relevancy.

The Al Moutmir team presented during this webinar the results of the Al Moutmir olive tree demonstration platforms for the years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020.  Very satisfactory results with significant  improvement in olive yield per hectare ranging between 28% and 34%. 
Trophies of recognition and encouragement were awarded to the farmers who achieved the best performances. Farmers's testimonials contributed to enrich the debate and testified once again to the importance of the commitment and involvement of the farmer to achieve the transformation of agriculture.
