As part of the panel on climate change and food security, he highlighted the critical role of farming extension in supporting smallholder farmers to adopt regenerative agriculture and 4R stewardship. His contribution focused on the Al Moutmir approach to helping farmers face climate challenges while optimizing productivity:

Scientific approach:Leveraging science and innovation to provide tailored solutions, starting with soil health.

Regenerative practices within 4R stewardship: No-till programs, crop rotation, and customized fertilization.

Capacity building: Training, field schools, and demonstration plots.

Farmer-to-farmer communication: Peer-to-peer videos and communities of practice.

Digital solutions for greater impact: ATMAR, a mobile extension app providing free agronomic advice to farmers.

He also emphasized the need to:

Adopt a systemic approach to engage all stakeholders.

 Continuously adjust and refine extension programs.

 Empower ambassadors and role models to scale and sustain efforts.

Promote localized solutions to drive impact and contribute to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
