As part of the series of webinars dedicated to the OCP-Al Moutmir program of no-till farming, a first webinar was devoted on 16/05/2022 to the provinces of Khouribga and Khenifra. This last one knew the participation of the agronomists responsible for the regions and the expert in conservation agriculture, Dr. El Houcine El Mzouri.

Thus, the analysis of the data collected and the preliminary results obtained during the comparison between the demonstration platforms of no-till farming and the controls conducted in conventional farming have recorded :

• A reduction in expenses due to soil work of 500 to 1000 MAD/ha;
• Savings on seeds by reducing seeding rates by 25 to 35%, i.e. an additional reduction in costs of 100 to 180 MAD/ha;
• A significant improvement of more than 38.5% on average in the height of the plant cover and the number of ears per plant at the level of the direct seeding demonstration platforms.
