OCP expands its soil testing offer to better serve small farmers
Aware that soil analyses are the first step towards balanced fertilisation, OCP offers free soil testing by setting up ten mobile laboratories close to farmers, especially small ones.
The aim of this offer is to encourage balanced agriculture based on a precise analysis of soils, its composition and needs and the monitoring of changes depending on crops and climatic variability.
Based on a scientific approach, Al Moutmir mobile soil testing offer is made possible thanks to the mobilization of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Benguerir and various national partners: the National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA), the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (IAV) and the National School of Agriculture of Meknes (ENA) and many agronomic experts. This offer is also supported by Al Moutmir agronomic engineers, Local Authorities, farmers and OCP volunteer collaborators of the Act4Community initiative. More than 30,000 soil tests are expected to be carried out within the 2020-2021 agricultural campaign.
